I am a multimedia journalism student at Bournemouth University, specialising in sports and news writing for several different platforms. As well as writing for print and online, i also present a sports radio show on BU’s award winning radio station: Nerve Radio

During my second year at Bournemouth, i was Editor-in-Chief of BU’s student newspaper, The Bournemouth Rock. Prior to that, i had a few articles published in the Argus, a regional newspaper based in Brighton. I have also completed work experience at the Bournemouth Daily Echo and on the horse racing department at Sporting Life.

I am an avid sports fan: Absolutely love the stuff. Whether it be the Olympics, tennis, rugby, you name it, i’ll almost definitely watch it. But my two real passions are football and horse racing. I have been kicking balls on whatever patch of grass i could find since the tender age of 4, and i honestly could not imagine my life without football. My interest in horse racing came much later, but i love nothing more than going to the races and even have a small share in a 7-year-old hurdler who is set to go novice chasing in the Autumn.

My theme for this blog stems from my love of sport. I have opted to blog about football and horse racing in particular, simply because they are the sports that i enjoy writing about the most.

Being only 20 years of age, i am just starting out in the industry, and this blog represents the perfect opportunity to begin compiling a portfolio of work. I hope to go far in journalism, whether it be in TV, radio, print or online – as long as it involves some form of sport, i’ll be over the moon!

If you love football, Chelsea FC and horse racing, then this blog is for you. if you don’t then read it anyway.. hopefully i’ll at least be able to make you laugh or something.
